Philip Nathe is extensively familiar with the Illinois criminal justice system, serving in several roles since 1981. He began as a courtroom clerk and then worked as a probation officer in DuPage County, drafting pre-sentence reports for defendants charged with everything from driving under the influence to murder. After law school, Mr. Nathe remained in DuPage County, serving as assistant state`s attorney and responsible for the prosecuting of a wide range of crimes. This experience proves very valuable for his clients facing criminal prosecution in DuPage and nearby counties, as their lawyer has solid relationships and a history of integrity. He knows the prosecutors and how they will approach most cases, and he is familiar with area judges and their tendencies.
In 1990, Mr. Nathe entered private practice, defending clients throughout the Chicagoland area. In 1994, he opened the Law Office of Phillip R. Nathe as a criminal defense attorney serving Naperville, DuPage County and surrounding counties. He is a member of the Criminal Defense Attorneys of DuPage County, and the Illinois and DuPage County Bar Associations. Mr. Nathe also taught criminal justice courses for eight years as an adjunct professor at the College of DuPage.
Philip Nathe resides in Naperville, Illinois with his wife, Carol, and their four children. He has been active in coaching youth sports for 8 years, and served on the Edward Hospital Foundation board of directors.
